How template approval works
When you create a template in 2Chat, it is submitted to Meta for review. Meta's review process can take anywhere from a few minutes up to 36 hours. 2Chat reflects the status Meta has assigned — we cannot speed up their review.
How 2Chat syncs template status
2Chat receives automatic webhook notifications from Meta when a template status changes. Under normal conditions, your template status updates automatically without any action needed on your part.
If you need to check the current status immediately, you can trigger a manual sync:
Go to Channels → Business API and open your WABA channel.
Click on the Templates tab.
Click "Refresh Table Information".
Note (Gupshup provider only): The system allows one manual sync per WABA every 3 hours. If the button is greyed out or the refresh takes longer than expected, a sync was recently triggered — either by you or automatically. You will need to wait for the 3-hour cooldown period before triggering another sync. This cooldown does not apply to Meta Cloud API (direct) channels.
My template was approved in Meta but still shows Pending in 2Chat
If you can see "Approved" status in your Meta Business Manager but 2Chat still shows "Pending", click "Refresh Table Information" on the Templates tab. The status should update within a few seconds.
If the status still does not update after a refresh, please contact support with:
