Connecting Your WhatsApp Number
The process utilizes Meta's "Embedded Signup" system, allowing for a secure and verified integration.
Prerequisites
Administrative access to your Meta Business Manager.
A phone number capable of receiving SMS or calls. Important: If the number is already registered on WhatsApp Messenger or the WhatsApp Business App, you must delete the account on the mobile application before starting this process.
Alternatively, you can acquire a new number from 2Chat.
Connection Steps
1. Initiate the Integration Process
Go to the Channels section in the main menu and select the option to add a new WhatsApp channel. An informational dialog box will appear.
Our platform uses Gupshup as an official provider. During the process on Meta, you may see the name "Text Wave" or "Gupshup" requesting permissions. This is part of our authorized secure infrastructure.
2. Authentication with Facebook
Click on "Continue". A Facebook pop-up window will open. You can log in with your personal account linked to the business.
3. Selection of Business Assets
The Meta wizard will guide you through three key selections:
Meta Business Portfolio: Select your legal business entity.
WhatsApp Business Account (WABA): Create a new one or select an existing one.
WhatsApp Profile: Define the Display Name and the category of your business.
4. Number Verification
Enter the phone number you wish to connect and select the verification method (SMS or Call). Enter the 6-digit code received to finalize the linking.
5. Platform Confirmation
Once the Meta window closes, you will see a pop-up window that will ask you for a final confirmation.
6. Refresh to see the new channel
Lastly, you will need to hit Refresh Table Information to see the new channel connected, and then you will see your new channel listed with the status "Connected".
