Learn how to configure Slack and 2Chat for individual/private WhatsApp chats and for WhatsApp groups.
When you install 2Chat on your Slack workspace, we get access to listing your public channels but anything that is private, including channels, is inaccessible to us.
If you want to connect a private Slack channel to a WhatsApp number or WhatsApp group, you need first to invite our app to that channel.
How to invite 2Chat to a private channel
Go to the private channel you want to use and type @2Chat, then press enter.
You will be prompted with an option to invite the app. Click on Invite Them.
If you have permission to do this, you will see a success message like the following.
You can now return to 2Chat and continue with your Slack configuration for individual or group chats. Click on Options and Refresh Slack channels.
After these steps, you should now be able to find the previously missing private channel and continue with the rest of the configurations.
