Regulatory documentation for virtual numbers

Learn what documents are required to acquired virtual numbers.

Updated this week

Most virtual numbers don't need any kind of documentation.

For cases where we are mandated to provide documentation to the national telecommunications authority, you'll see a button on top of the results page where a detail of what's required is provided.

If you can't provide or don't have the documents listed as part of the requirements, don't proceed with the purchase. 2Chat can't work around these mandates, and once a number is purchased, the charge can't be refunded.

The next step is determining whether you will register the number under your personal name or your company's name.

And finally, send the documentation to [email protected].

You can use your number for outbound calls immediately after purchase, but It can take from a few minutes to up to 2 days, depending on the time of day, weekends, and national holidays, to get the number enabled for inbound calls when there are regulatory requirements to comply with.
