When you connect a number in Coexistence, your new conversations reach 2Chat from that moment on. You can also import the chats the number already had in the WhatsApp Business app.
What you can import
Up to 180 days of chats.
Photos and files from the last 14 days. Older media arrives as text.
You can ask once, and only within 24 hours of connecting the number. WhatsApp sets both limits.
How to import them
At the end of the setup wizard, in the Done stage, coexistence numbers show the Import your chats card with what is available and how much time is left. Click Import chats.
WhatsApp starts sending your chats, and the card shows the progress while it sends them.
When WhatsApp has sent everything, the chats show up in your inbox on their own within the next 24 hours — you can close the window. When the import finishes, the card shows how many messages were imported.
If something goes wrong
Chat history sharing is turned off in the WhatsApp Business app — the phone declined the request, so WhatsApp didn't send your conversations.
WhatsApp didn't respond in time or didn't accept the request — while the 24-hour window is open you can click Try again. If it keeps happening, write to us.
WhatsApp no longer accepts history requests for this number — the number already used the requests WhatsApp allows. Your new conversations keep arriving as usual. To bring your history anyway: in the WhatsApp Business app on your phone go to Settings > Account > Business Platform and tap Disconnect; then come back to 2Chat and click Re-link with Meta with the same number (don't delete the channel: that way it keeps its templates and settings); when you finish, request the history again — you have 24 hours. While the number is disconnected messages don't reach 2Chat, so do both steps one right after the other.
The window to import your chats closed — WhatsApp only allows it within 24 hours of connecting the number. To import your chats you have to connect the number again.
