Before you start: you'll need a virtual number. If you don't have one yet, here's how to get one.
A call flow is like an automatic receptionist for your phone number. Instead of every call ringing everyone, you decide what should happen when someone calls — for example, ring your whole team, play a greeting, or send the caller to the right place. (You might also see this called an IVR — in 2Chat they mean the same thing.)
Setting one up takes just a few clicks — no technical knowledge needed. Here's how.
1. Open your number's call settings
Go to your virtual number's configuration page and click Inbound Call Handling.
2. Create a new call flow
Out of the box, your number simply rings all of your agents. To choose what happens instead, click Create new call flow.
3. Meet the call flow builder
A simple visual editor opens. Think of it as a little map: it shows, step by step, what happens from the moment a call comes in.
4. Add what should happen
Click the + button to add a step, then connect the pieces to build the path you want for incoming calls. You can add as many steps as you need.
5. Example: ring your whole team
For example, to make everyone in your 2Chat account ring when a call arrives, your flow can look like this:
6. Save — and you're done
Click Save. From now on, your number answers calls automatically, following the steps you set up. You can come back and change your call flow whenever you like.
💡 Tip: start simple — for instance, ring everyone — and add greetings or menus later, once you're comfortable.
