Enabling Developer Mode in ChatGPT
You need to enable Developer Mode in ChatGPT to configure your MCP server. Follow these steps:
In your ChatGPT account, go to Plugins
Click on Add (1) and then click on Add custom MCP Server (2)
Adding the 2Chat MCP to ChatGPT
After clicking on Create App, you will see this window:
Enter the following information:
A) Icon: Optionally, add an icon to identify the tool.
B) Name: Enter a name, such as "2Chat MCP".
C) Description: Optionally, enter a description for the tool.
D) MCP Server URL: Enter
https://mcp.2chat.io/mcp.E) Authentication: Select OAuth.
F) I understand and want to continue: Check this option.
Make sure you are logged into your 2Chat account in another browser tab, and click on Create as plugin.
Click on Connect 2Chat MCP
An approval window will pop up. Click on Allow Access.
You will now see 2Chat listed under Plugins. Close the settings window.
If you get an error like the following during re-connection, delete the 2Chat's connector and add it again:
How to use the 2Chat MCP in ChatGPT
To use the 2Chat MCP, type @ in the chat box and select it from the list.
Alternatively, click the plus sign (+) button and select it from the menu.
You can now use our MCP methods, such as listing numbers or sending WhatsApp messages.
And ChatGPT will display the results.
