To check if a virtual number can be used with WhatsApp, follow these steps:

Most numbers are compatible with WhatsApp Business API and Cloud API by Meta. Check this article to learn how to use a virtual number to activate these versions of WhatsApp.
Open the Phone Number Purchase Page:
Navigate to app.2chat.io/channels/virtual-number/new.Search for Available Numbers:
Select the desired country and apply any additional filters. Click Search.Tip: Mobile numbers usually have the highest compatibility with WhatsApp, followed by local or toll-free numbers.
Select a Number:
Choose a number from the list. Do not purchase it yet; you'll first confirm its validity using your mobile device.Validate the Number Using WhatsApp
On your mobile device, open WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business. They both share the same initial configuration screen.
When prompted, select the country of your chosen number and enter the number you selected.
WhatsApp will then ask you to confirm if the entered number is correct.
Check its validity using WhatsApp Messenger
WhatsApp Messenger will only accept mobile numbers since this version is intended for personal use. Use the WhatsApp Business app if you intend to activate local, toll-free, or any non-mobile numbers.
If WhatsApp is able to send a code, it means the number can be activated for WhatsApp, and you can proceed with the purchase.
If WhatsApp displays this error message, it means the number won’t work on WhatsApp Messenger, and you’ll need to find an alternative number or try it with the WhatsApp Business application.
Alternatively, check the number validity using WhatsApp Business
If WhatsApp can't send an activation SMS to the number, it will display a temporary error message. Click on "Ok", then click on "Didn't receive the code".
If you see the "Voice call' option, it means the number will work and it's safe to purchase. Proceed with the next step without continuing with the activation. You'll need the number to be active on your 2Chat account to receive the call.
Proceed with the Purchase
Once you've confirmed that the number is valid for WhatsApp, return to the 2Chat purchase screen and click the cart icon next to the number.
The number will be reserved for 10 minutes. Complete the purchase within this period. After 10 minutes, availability is no longer guaranteed, and you might need to select a new number.
